Form Latex — Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What is latex clothing?
Latex clothing is made from natural rubber latex, formed into thin, close-fitting garments that hug the body like a second skin. It is stretchy, waterproof, and has a signature high-gloss finish when polished. Our garments are designed to fit close to your body while allowing comfort and movement.
Q2. How do I choose the right size?
The measurements on our size chart are your natural body measurements, not garment measurements. Use a soft tape measure on bare skin, then compare each measurement to our chart — don't rely on your usual dress size. If your measurements fall across two sizes, go with the larger one, as latex stretches with body heat.
Q3. What if none of the standard sizes fit me?
No problem — choose our made-to-measure service. Select "Made-to-Measure" at checkout, submit your measurements via our measurement form, and we'll cut your garment to your exact body.
Q4. How do I put on a latex garment?
Latex doesn't slide on easily on bare skin. Dust the inside of the garment (and your skin) lightly with unscented talcum/baby powder, or use a latex-safe silicone dressing aid. Pull gently using the palms of your hands — never grab with your nails, as they can tear the latex. If it feels stuck, you need more powder or lubricant, not more force.
Q5. How do I clean and care for latex?
Hand-wash in lukewarm water with a little mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and drip dry away from direct sunlight and heat. When dry, lightly powder the inside and store it in a cloth bag, flat or on a wide hanger, out of sunlight. Avoid folding for long periods.
Q6. How do I get the glossy shine?
After washing and drying, apply a small amount of latex polish or silicone-based shiner to the outside with a soft cloth and buff gently. This gives latex its characteristic deep, wet-looking shine.
Q7. What should I avoid with latex?
Keep latex away from: oil-based products (hand cream, body oil, petroleum jelly, oil-based lube — these break down latex), copper or dark metals (they can stain or discolour it), direct sunlight, and high heat. Only use talcum powder or silicone-based products on or with latex.
Q8. What thickness should I choose?
For most garments we use 0.4 mm natural latex — the sweet spot for stretch, comfort and durability in everyday wear. Our corsets are made in a 1.0 mm double-layer construction, which gives them the structure and support they need.
Q9. How long until I receive my order?
All our garments are hand-made. Production for made-to-measure items typically takes 1–2 weeks, and delivery after dispatch takes around 5 business days. Shipping is free worldwide, so you can expect your garment roughly 2–3 weeks from ordering.
Q10. Is my packaging discreet?
Yes — privacy is a priority. Every latex order is shipped in plain, unmarked packaging with no indication of the contents, and the dispatch details give nothing away about what's inside.
Q11. Can I return or exchange a made-to-measure order?
Because made-to-measure garments are cut specifically for your body measurements, they cannot be resold and are generally non-returnable. This is why we carefully review your measurements with you before production begins.
Q12. I've never worn latex before. Is it for me?
Absolutely. Start with a simple, close-fitting piece in 0.4 mm, use plenty of powder or dressing aid, and go slowly. Once you're in, latex is surprisingly comfortable — and the shine does the rest.
